Word of the Week: POA

A Power of Attorney (POA) is someone designated to make financial and other legal decisions for you in the event that you become incapacitated.  This person can be appointed by you through proper legal documentation before becoming incapacitated or they can be appointed by the court.  You are still legally responsible for all decisions made by this person on your behalf so be sure to choose your Power of Attorney wisely.
