Three members of the SBV team gave up the razor in November for a good cause. Paul Coleman (financial planner), Mike Heburn (chief operating officer) and Steven Elwell (vice president) — pictured above from left to right — joined the no-shave cause and made donations to the cancer awareness organization. No-Shave November is dedicated to raising funds to support cancer prevention, research, and education. The organization encourages people to “put down their razors” for a month and donate the money they would normally spend on personal grooming to the not-for-profit.
Although No-Shave November has been around for many years, it wasn’t until the fall of 2009 that members of the Chicagoland Hill family decided to use it as a means to raise money for charity. It was a project that held special meaning to the eight Hill children after their father, Matthew Hill, passed away from colon cancer in November 2007. The organization has raised of $2M in the past six years in his memory.
